WSJM (1400 AM, "NewsTalk 1400") is a radio station broadcasting a news-talk format. Licensed to St. Joseph, Michigan, it first began broadcasting in 1956. Prior to its current News/Talk format, WSJM was a Full-Service Adult Contemporary radio station, with a mixture of pop and oldies music, local personalities, network and local newscasts, evening talk programming (Bruce Williams and Larry King) and play-by-play sports. It broadcasted from its studios on Fairplain Avenue located in Fair Plain, Michigan, an unincorporated area south of Benton Harbor. As of June 2012 the station is off air due to a transaction, though WHFB-FM continues to broadcast.

St. Joseph, Michigan

St. Joseph is a city in the US state of Michigan. It was incorporated as a village in 1834 and as a city in 1891. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 8,365. It lies on the shore of Lake Michigan, at the mouth of the St. Joseph River, about 60 miles east-northeast of Chicago. It is the county seat of Berrien County. It is home of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers. St. Joseph and Benton Harbor are locally known as the "Twin Cities".
