Gull Lake (Michigan)

Gull Lake is a lake in the U.S. state of Michigan, located mostly in Kalamazoo County with the northern tip extending into Barry County. The nearest major cities are Kalamazoo, 11 miles to the southwest, and Battle Creek, 13 miles to the southeast. The name was probably derived from the seagulls which at times come inland from Lake Michigan in large numbers. The total surface area of this lake is 2,030 acres, with maximum depths of 110 feet .

Kellogg Biological Station

Kellogg Biological Station (KBS), Michigan State University's largest off-campus education complex, is located in Hickory Corners, Michigan (about 65 miles from the main campus). Many of the facilities there were originally built by Will Keith Kellogg of Kellogg's cereal, after whom the station is named. KBS includes nearly 16.5 square kilometres of land and, together with nearby state lands and preserves, allows for large-scale studies by biologists.

South Gull Lake, Michigan

South Gull Lake is an unincorporated community in Ross Township, Kalamazoo County in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is a Census-designated place (CDP) used for statistical purposes and does not have any legal status as an incorporated municipality. The population was 1,526 at the 2000 census. The CDP includes an area around the southern and eastern shores of Gull Lake. The lake extends into Richland Township to the west and the northern tip crosses into Barry County.

Richland, Michigan

Richland is a village in Kalamazoo County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 791 at the 2010 census. The village is within Richland Township about nine miles northeast of Kalamazoo.

WKFR-FM

WKFR-FM, also known as KFR, is a hybrid Hot Adult Contemporary/Top 40 outlet serving the Kalamazoo, Michigan radio market. The station's frequency is 103.3 MHz on the FM dial with an ERP of 50 kW. They are owned by Cumulus Broadcasting. 103.3 KFR plays a mix of hit music from the 1980s through today's hits. The station began operations in June 1963 as WELL-FM at 96.5 megahertz, duplicating the programming of then-sister WELL-AM 1400.
