Oakland Southwest Airport is a county-owned public-use airport in Oakland County, Michigan, United States. It is located one nautical mile (1.85 km) southwest of the central business district of New Hudson. The airport is uncontrolled, and is used for general aviation purposes. This airport is included in the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2009–2013, which categorized it as a reliever airport for Detroit Wayne County Metropolitan Airport.

Kensington, Michigan

Kensington was a former village in Oakland County, Michigan that suffered population loss when the railroad diverted the Detroit to Lansing traffic southward to South Lyon, Michigan. It was later entirely wiped out by the building of I-96 and Kensington Metropark. The State of Michigan still recognizes the location as an unincorporated community at Grand River Avenue on Kent Lake .

Kensington Metropark

Kensington Metropark is a unit of the Huron-Clinton Metroparks system located between Milford and South Lyon, Michigan, USA. The park covers 4,481 acres (18.13 km²). It has wooded hilly terrain and surrounds 1,200-acre Kent Lake (a dammed section of the Huron River).. The park has an 18-hole regulation golf course, a disc golf course, toboggan hill, a nature center, a farm learning center, picnic areas, beaches, and boat rentals.

WCXI

WCXI (1160 AM) is a radio station licensed to Fenton, Michigan. The station broadcasts to the Flint area and the northwestern suburbs of Detroit. The station went on the air in 1985 as WFEN with a MOR format and has sported several formats and call signs in the years since. As of September 2010, WCXI has dropped its classic country format and is now playing oldies in a temporary relocation of the format of sister station WPON 1460 AM in Walled Lake, Michigan.
