Tunica is a town in Tunica County, Mississippi, located near the Mississippi River. Until the early 1990s the town was one of the most impoverished places in the United States, semi-famous for the particularly deprived neighborhood known as "Sugar Ditch Alley", named for the open sewer located there. The town now lies on the fringe of a growing gambling resort area, with major casinos attracting visitors from nearby Memphis, Tennessee, West Memphis, Arkansas and all over the Southeast.

The Tunica Arena and Exposition Center is a 6,000-seat multi-purpose arena in Tunica, Mississippi. The facility was built in 2000. The $25 million center is the largest indoor arena in Mississippi, with 48,000 square feet of climate-controlled exhibit space on the main arena floor. It has a seating capacity of 6,000 and paved parking for 1,100 vehicles, plus 600 additional parking spaces and 66 RV spaces.
