New Houlka, Mississippi

New Houlka is a town in Chickasaw County, Mississippi, which includes the older settlement of "old Houlka", the oldest white settlement in the county, established in 1812 at the intersection of the Natchez Trace and Gaines Trace, approximately one mile from the Chickasaw Indian Agency. Trace State Park

For the Tennessee state park, see Natchez Trace State Park. Trace State Park, also known as Old Natchez Trace Park, is a state park in the U.S. state of Mississippi. It is located off Mississippi Highway 6 near the hamlet of Furrs, about halfway between Pontotoc and Tupelo. It is named after the nearby Natchez Trace Parkway and the historic Natchez Trace. Historic figure Davy Crockett once lived within the area bounded by the park.

Tupelo High School

Tupelo High School is the only public high school in Tupelo, Mississippi. The campus consists of fourteen buildings, including a Performing Arts Center, separate buildings for social studies, English, math, sciences, and fine arts as well there is also a self-contained grade-9 building. The current student population of the school is about 2,500. The school offers a curriculum containing 160 Carnegie units, 16 of which are Advanced Placement.
