Benton Park West is a neighborhood located in South St. Louis City, Missouri, USA. The neighborhood is bounded by Jefferson Ave. on the east, Gravois Ave. (MO Route 30) on the north and west, and an irregular boundary consisting of Cherokee Street, S. Compton Ave. , and Potomac Street to the south. The neighborhood is the conglomeration of two different neighborhoods in the 1970s, Compton Hill and Marquette-Cheorkee.

Benton Park, St. Louis

Benton Park is a neighborhood in eastern St. Louis, Missouri, just west of the Soulard neighborhood. The official boundaries of the area are Gravois Avenue on the north, Cherokee Street on the south, I-55 on the east, and Jefferson Avenue on the west. Not to be confused with Benton Place, the first private street in America located in Lafayette Square, home to some of the finest families of St. Louis history. The area now comprising Benton Park was first used as the City Cemetery.

Gus's Pretzels

Gus' Pretzels is a pretzel bakery and snack counter in the Benton Park neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri, United States. It opened in 1920, located at 1820 Arsenal Street near the Anheuser-Busch brewery. Gus' is a third generation family business. They hand-make pretzels in an open kitchen near where they are sold with dips and condiments such as mustard and cheese sauces. Fresh pretzels are emblematic of the German American culture and community that have been prominent in St Louis.
