It is located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:38|34|49|N|93|28|44|W|type:city | |name= }} (38.5802949, -93.4788208), and its altitude is 951 feet (290 m). This was the location of a Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad (MKT) branch line to Holden, Missouri opened in 1895 and abandoned in 1958.
