Discovery Ski Area is an alpine ski area near the old mining town of Anaconda, Montana, off Highway 1 and is situated along the scenic Pintler Loop opposite of Georgetown Lake. Situated on Rumsey Mountain and Jubilee, the area consists of 4 different faces and provides for beginner groomed runs to expert bowl skiing.

Atlantic Cable Quartz Lode

The Atlantic Cable Quartz Lode is a gold mine in Deer Lodge County, Montana. The mine is located in the southwestern area of Montana, between Drummond and Anaconda along the Pintler Scenic Route on Montana Highway 1, east of Georgetown Lake. {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:46|10|08|N|113|09|40|W| |primary |name=Atlantic Cable Quartz Lode, Montana }} The gold mine was named on June 15, 1867, with the name commemorating the completion of the laying of the second transatlantic cable.

Granite, Montana
