Sowbelly Canyon

Sowbelly Canyon is located in the northwestern corner of Nebraska. It is 2.7 miles northeast of Harrison and is part of the Pine Ridge region. Sowbelly Canyon is a little-known portion of the Pine Ridge. The canyon can be viewed on a scenic driving route north of Harrison; the drive is approximately 11 miles long. A bed and breakfast in the lower bluffs and pines of the canyon was destroyed by a wildfire in July 2006.

Sioux County is a county located in the U.S. state of Nebraska. As of 2010, the population was 1,311. Its county seat is Harrison. In the Nebraska license plate system, Sioux County is represented by the prefix 80 (it had the 80th-largest number of vehicles registered in the state when the license plate system was established in 1922).

The Hudson-Meng Bison Kill site is a fossil site located in the Oglala National Grassland of western Nebraska northwest of Crawford. It contains the 10,000-year-old remains of up to 600 bison.
