Eureka Opera House

Eureka Opera House is an auditorium and convention center in Eureka, Nevada. Built in 1880, and since then has remained an important center of town activities. When motion pictures were first shown there beginning in 1915, the building was renamed the Eureka Theater. It was later closed as a movie house in 1958. The structure was fully restored in 1993. The opera house is the centerpiece of the historic downtown district in Eureka.

Eureka, Nevada

Eureka is an unincorporated township in and the county seat of Eureka County, Nevada, United States. Eureka is by far the largest community in Eureka County. Attractions include the Eureka Opera House (built in 1880 and restored in 1993), Raine's Market and Wildlife Museum (built 1887), the Jackson House Hotel (built 1877), and the Eureka Sentinel Museum (housed in the 1879 Eureka Sentinel Newspaper Building). Eureka is part of the Elko Micropolitan Statistical Area.

Ruby Hill, Nevada

Ruby Hill is now a ghost town in Eureka County, in the central part of the U.S. state of Nevada, approximately 2.6 mi west of the town of Eureka, Nevada. In 1910, the town was destroyed by a powerful storm that washed away the railroad and other buildings and left the town uninhabitable.

Eureka Airport (Nevada)

Eureka Airport is a county-owned public-use airport located six nautical miles (11 km) northwest of the central business district of Eureka, a city in Eureka County, Nevada, United States. The airport is located within and towards the southern end of the Diamond Valley. It is also known as Eureka County Airport and in 2007 it was named Booth Bailey Field, honoring Mr. Booth Bailey, a Eureka native and founder of Diamond Aviation, the airport's fixed base operator.
