Bonanza Air Lines Flight 114 was a Fairchild F-27 turboprop airliner flying out of Phoenix, Arizona to McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada, on the evening of November 15, 1964. At 8:25 p.m. , during a landing approach in poor weather conditions, it crashed into the top of a hill in open desert country about 10 miles SSW of Las Vegas.

Southern Highlands Golf Club

Southern Highlands Golf Club is a private eighteen-hole golf course and one of the most affluent neighborhoods in the Las Vegas Valley. The golf course was co-designed by Robert Trent Jones and his son Robert Trent Jones, Jr. It was the elder Jones' final work and only one of four courses they designed together. It is situated in the southwest foothills of Greater Las Vegas. Most of the homes are strategically placed to avoid being seen from street level.

Nevada Landing Hotel and Casino

The Nevada Landing was a hotel and casino designed to resemble two riverboats. It was located in Jean, Nevada, United States, near the California state line, within sight of Interstate 15. The hotel, owned by MGM Resorts International, had 303 rooms, four restaurants, over 800 slot machines, live keno, table games, banquet facilities, and wedding services. The rooms featured air-conditioning, telephones, clock radios, private bathrooms, and televisions.

Southern Nevada Correctional Center

Southern Nevada Correctional Center was a medium-security prison in Southern Nevada in the United States owned and operated by the Nevada Department of Corrections. Located in Clark County approximately 30 miles south of Las Vegas, off Interstate 15, in Jean, it was permanently closed in July 2008. The prison had closed in 2000 and re-opened in 2006 to house inmates under 25 years of age.
