Southern Nevada Correctional Center

Southern Nevada Correctional Center was a medium-security prison in Southern Nevada in the United States owned and operated by the Nevada Department of Corrections. Located in Clark County approximately 30 miles south of Las Vegas, off Interstate 15, in Jean, it was permanently closed in July 2008. The prison had closed in 2000 and re-opened in 2006 to house inmates under 25 years of age.

Nevada Landing Hotel and Casino

The Nevada Landing was a hotel and casino designed to resemble two riverboats. It was located in Jean, Nevada, United States, near the California state line, within sight of Interstate 15. The hotel, owned by MGM Resorts International, had 303 rooms, four restaurants, over 800 slot machines, live keno, table games, banquet facilities, and wedding services. The rooms featured air-conditioning, telephones, clock radios, private bathrooms, and televisions.

Roach, Nevada is a siding on the Union Pacific railroad, between Jean, Nevada and Nipton, California, in Clark County, Nevada, USA. Roach is on the eastern shoreline of Roach Dry Lake, and is below Beer Bottle Pass in the Lucy Gray Mountains to the northeast. Roach's elevation is 2,620 feet . Roach appears on, and is the namesake for, the USGS Roach 7.5' topographic map (1985).
