Southern Highlands Golf Club

Southern Highlands Golf Club is a private eighteen-hole golf course and one of the most affluent neighborhoods in the Las Vegas Valley. The golf course was co-designed by Robert Trent Jones and his son Robert Trent Jones, Jr. It was the elder Jones' final work and only one of four courses they designed together. It is situated in the southwest foothills of Greater Las Vegas. Most of the homes are strategically placed to avoid being seen from street level.

Bonanza Air Lines Flight 114 was a Fairchild F-27 turboprop airliner flying out of Phoenix, Arizona to McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada, on the evening of November 15, 1964. At 8:25 p.m. , during a landing approach in poor weather conditions, it crashed into the top of a hill in open desert country about 10 miles SSW of Las Vegas.

United Airlines Flight 736

United Airlines Flight 736 was a daily U.S. transcontinental passenger flight operated by United Airlines that crashed on April 21, 1958, following a mid-air collision. The aircraft assigned to Flight 736, a Douglas DC-7 airliner carrying 47 persons, was flying at cruise altitude above Clark County, Nevada, en route to a stopover at Denver, Colorado, when it was struck by a United States Air Force fighter jet crewed by two pilots. The collision occurred at 8:30 a.m.

Arden, Nevada is an unincorporated community in Clark County, Nevada. Its ZIP code is 89118. Located about 7 miles southwest of Las Vegas, the area is experiencing rapid growth in housing development on land formerly owned by the Bureau of Land Management. Enterprise is another unincorporated community nearby; it includes the master-planned community of Mountain's Edge. In 1942, TWA Flight 3, carrying movie star Carole Lombard and 21 others, crashed into a mountain in the area.
