Ruppert Stadium (Newark)

Ruppert Stadium was a baseball stadium that formerly stood in Newark, New Jersey, in the area now known as the Ironbound. Originally named Davids' Stadium, it was home to the minor league Newark Bears of the International League from 1926 to 1949 and the Newark Eagles of the Negro Leagues from 1936 to 1948. It was also the home field of the short-lived Newark Bears of the first American Football League in 1926.

Ironbound

For the studio album by American thrash metal band Overkill, see Ironbound (album). The Ironbound is a large working-class neighborhood in Newark, New Jersey, United States. This close-knit, multi-ethnic community covers approximately four square miles (10 km²). Historically, the area was called "Dutch Neck," "Down Neck," or simply "the Neck," because of the way the Passaic River curved to form what looked like a neck.

Five Corners is the local name of an intersection of five streets in the Ironbound section of Newark, New Jersey. It is the convergence of Wilson Avenue, Merchant Street, Ferry Street (the Ironbound's most well-known street) and East Ferry Street, the latter two being part of the route of the former Lincoln Highway.
