Jordanville, New York

Jordanville is a hamlet in the town of Warren, Herkimer County, New York. Jordanville is in the northwest part of Warren, at the intersection of New York State Route 167 and County Route 155. The community was settled before 1791. It derives its name from nearby Ocquionis Creek, which was used by settlers for baptisms and thus likened to the Jordan River.

Richfield Springs, New York

Richfield Springs is a village located in the Town of Richfield, on the north-central border of Otsego County, New York. The population was 1,264 at the 2010 census. The name is derived from some local sulfur springs. The Village of Richfield Springs is in the northeast part of the town on US Route 20. Routes 22, 25, and 28 also converge on the community.

Mohawk, Herkimer County, New York

Mohawk is a village in Herkimer County, New York, United States. The population was 2,731 at the 2010 census. The village was named after the adjacent river. The Village of Mohawk is at the north border of the Town of German Flatts and adjacent to the Erie Canal. Mohawk is southeast of Utica. The sports teams of the Mohawk school district call themselves the "Mohicans". The Mohawk Nation occupied the Mohawk Valley.

Fort Herkimer

Fort Herkimer was a fort located on the southern side of the Mohawk River, opposite West Canada Creek, in central New York, United States. The fort was first built in 1740, around the homestead of the Herscheimer (Herkimer) family. In 1757 during the Seven Years War, young Captain Nicholas Herkimer (later to be a heroic general in the Revolutionary War) had his first military command here when the French attacked German Flatts in 1757 and 1758.
