Indian Lake is a town in Hamilton County, New York, United States. The population was 1,352 at the 2010 census. The name is from a large lake partly inside the town. Adirondack Park Agency visitor interpretive centers

The Adirondack Park Agency created two visitor interpretive centers (known informally as the VICs) in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The centers were designed to introduce visitors to the special features of the Adirondack Park, which, at 6 million acres (24,000 km²), is the largest park in the lower 48 United States. The centers help orient visitors to the park via educational programs, exhibits, and interpretive trails.

Newcomb is a town in Essex County, New York, United States. The population was 436 at the 2010 census. The Town of Newcomb is at the west border of the county. It is 58 miles southwest of Plattsburgh, 59 miles southwest of Burlington, VT, 81 miles northeast of Utica, NY, 93 miles north-northwest of Albany, NY, and 124 miles south-southwest of Montreal, Quebec. North River, New York

North River is a hamlet in the Town of Johnsburg, in Upstate New York, within the Adirondack Mountains. It is located on the upper Hudson River five miles north of the hamlet of North Creek in Warren County, on the northern border with Hamilton County. Historically it was one of the centers of the New York State garnet industry. The last remaining garnet mine in New York is located in North River.
