Charlotte (Amtrak station)
The Charlotte Amtrak Station in Charlotte, North Carolina is served by three passenger trains. The street address is 1914 North Tryon Street, about 1.5 miles to the northeast of downtown Charlotte. The current station was built in 1961 by Southern Railway as a replacement for the former Southern Railway passenger station located near the intersection of Trade Street and 4th Street in downtown.

North Charlotte is one of Charlotte's oldest neighborhoods and can trace its history back to the early 1880s when Mecklenburg's economy was still heavily reliant on the textile industry. As a result many former mill buildings dot the landscape of the area which is home to Charlotte's arts district, North Davidson, or "NoDa".

Hawthorne High School (North Carolina)
Hawthorne High School is a non-traditional high school located in Charlotte, North Carolina's Belmont community named for its location on Hawthorne Lane. The school has existed in many forms before its current guise, most notably serving as a Junior High school (Hawthorne itself was never a Middle School) for several years before closing temporarily, being annexed into nearby Piedmont Middle School, and finally its current form.
