Camp Ton-A-Wandah
Camp Ton-A-Wandah ("By the fall of water" in Cherokee) is an annual all-girls summer camp located outside of Hendersonville, North Carolina, in the Flat Rock area. The camp is open to girls aged six through 15, for a total of nine weeks each year (three sessions of three weeks each). 16-year-old girls who wish to attend become CITs, and young women aged 17 and up serve as cabin counselors (many of whom come from foreign countries, such as Australia and South Africa).

DuPont State Forest
DuPont State Forest is a 10,000 acre (40 km²) tract, located in Henderson and Transylvania counties of North Carolina. The park was used to shoot scenes from the 1992 film "The Last of the Mohicans" and the 2012 box office hit, "The Hunger Games". The name originates from the fact that the DuPont company arranged the sale of the original tract to the state. Portions of the forest formerly contained a manufacturing facility for the production of X-ray film.
