Lake Tahoma

Lake Tahoma is a private lake in the mountains of Western North Carolina, United States, in McDowell County fed from the waters of Buck Creek, located about 5 miles from downtown Marion. Lake Tahoma is a private lake in which there is a ban on speedboats and jetskis. There is a local legend about a ghost that haunts the Lake Tahoma Dam. Not able to deal with her pregnancy, legend has it that, on prom night, a teenaged girl jumped from the dam to her death. Today, she still haunts the dam.

Arthur Morgan School

Arthur Morgan School (AMS) is a small, coed boarding and day school for 27 students in grades 7, 8 and 9 . AMS is located on 100 acres of farm and wilderness in the Celo Community, about an hour north of Asheville, North Carolina. The AMS program focuses on the holistic education of adolescents.
