Umatilla Chemical Depot
The Umatilla Chemical Depot, (UMCD) based in Umatilla, Oregon, was a U.S. Army installation in the United States that stored chemical weapons. The chemical weapons originally stored at the depot consisted of various munitions and ton containers containing GB and VX nerve agents and HD blister agent. All munitions have been safely destroyed by 2011 and base closure operation are expected to be completed by 2015.

Lake Condon
Lake Condon was a temporary lake in the Pacific Northwest region of North America, formed periodically by the Missoula Floods from 15,000 to 13,000 BC. The restricted flow of waters from cataclysmic floods from Glacial Lake Missoula, and pluvial Lake Bonneville through the constriction of the Wallula Gap in the Horse Heaven Hills flowed into south-central Washington and north-central Oregon, and were backed up by the Columbia River Gorge, forming Lake Condon.

KLWJ (1090 AM, "Kingdom Living Radio") was a daytime-only radio station licensed to serve Umatilla, Oregon, USA. The station, which began broadcasting in 1980, was owned and operated by Umatilla Broadcasting, Inc. KLWJ formerly broadcast a religious radio format. The station's final license expired in 2006 and KLWJ was deleted from the FCC database in 2009.
