Burnt Woods, Oregon

Burnt Woods is an unincorporated community in Lincoln County, Oregon, United States. It is located about 16 miles west of Philomath on U.S. Route 20 in the Central Oregon Coast Range near the Tumtum River. Burnt Woods post office was established in 1919, after the name was chosen from a list of proposed names sent to the Post Office Department. The signs of past forest fires are still evident in the area. Burnt Woods post office closed in 1978. The community has a store and a café.

Marys River

Marys River is a 40-mile tributary of the Willamette River in the U.S. state of Oregon. From its source at the confluence of its east and west forks near Summit, it flows generally southeast from the Central Oregon Coast Range to Corvallis.

Blodgett, Oregon

Blodgett is an unincorporated community in Benton County, Oregon, United States, where Oregon Route 180 meets U.S. Route 20 in the Central Oregon Coast Range 15 miles west of Corvallis. It is near the confluence of the Tumtum and Marys rivers. The population was 58 at the 2010 census. Blodgett was named for pioneer settler William Blodgett. The post office was established in April 1888 with the name "Emrick", for a local family and was changed to Blodgett shortly thereafter.

Yaquina River

The Yaquina River is a river, approximately 50 mi (80 km) long, on the Pacific coast of Oregon in the United States. It drains an area of the Central Oregon Coast Range west of the Willamette Valley near Newport.
