Winchester, Oregon

Winchester is an unincorporated community in Douglas County, Oregon, United States. It is located four miles north of Roseburg on Interstate 5 and the North Umpqua River. Winchester was laid out in 1850 by surveyor Addison R. Flint, who was part of an Umpqua exploring expedition from San Francisco. The town was named for one of two brothers named Winchester who took part in the expedition, probably Heman Winchester, who was the expedition's captain.

Umpqua Community College

Umpqua Community College (UCC) is a community college located approximately {{#invoke:ConvertNumeric | numeral_to_english | 6 | case=L | sp=us | adj=off }} miles north of Roseburg, Oregon, United States. The college has sixteen campus buildings located on 100 acres bordering the North Umpqua River. The campus also features a track, tennis courts, and an outdoor pool. In 2009, a vineyard was added to the campus. About 3,300 full-time students and 16,000 part-time students attend UCC.
