Lake Blalock

Lake Blalock (formally, the H. Taylor Blalock Reservoir) is a reservoir in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, located on the Pacolet River about five miles north of Spartanburg. After its creation was authorized in 1976 by the Commissioners of Spartanburg Water System, Blalock Dam was constructed in 1983. The existing earthen dam is approximately 700 ft . long and 70 ft high.

Chesnee High School

Chesnee High School is a high school in Chesnee, Spartanburg County, South Carolina, USA. CHS serves grades 9-12, of these grades it houses over 600 students. The school has started a JROTC class for students who are interested in joining the military and want to start their military career early. Battle of Cowpens

The Battle of Cowpens (January 17, 1781) was a decisive victory by the Continental army forces under Brigadier General Daniel Morgan, in the Southern campaign of the American Revolutionary War. It was a turning point in the reconquest of South Carolina from the British. It took place in northwestern Cherokee County, South Carolina, north of the city of Cowpens.
