Okatie (pronounced "OH-kuh-tee") is a primarily rural area located in Beaufort and Jasper counties in South Carolina. Okatie takes its name from the nearby Okatie River, an estuary of the Port Royal Sound. The headquarters of the Beaufort-Jasper Water and Sewer Authority are located in Okatie, as are the Beaufort-Jasper Academy for Career Excellence and the future Pope John Paul II Catholic High School.

Switzerland is an unincorporated community in Jasper County, South Carolina, United States, near the Georgia border. The community is part of the Hilton Head Island–Beaufort Micropolitan Statistical Area. Switzerland's name comes from Swiss natives who originally came to South Carolina and had settled in the nearby Purrysburg settlement on the banks of the Savannah River, near present day Hardeeville.
