Saint George is a town in Dorchester County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 2,084 at the 2010 census, a loss of 8 persons from 2000. It has been the county seat of Dorchester County since the latter's formation from Colleton County in 1897. As defined by the U.S. Office of Management and Budget, and used by the U. S. Census Bureau for statistical purposes only, Saint George is included within the Charleston-North Charleston-Summerville metropolitan area.

Fripp-Fishburne House
The Fripp-Fishburne House is a historic building in Walterboro, South Carolina, United States . Built in 1889, it has been renovated several times and currently serves as a private residence. The house is located at 474 Hampton Street, in the Walterboro historic district, which is about an hour drive from either Charleston, South Carolina or Savannah, Georgia. The house was originally a one-story home built by Lewis Fripp in 1889. A second story was added in the early 1900s.
