Crazy Horse Memorial

The Crazy Horse Memorial is a mountain monument complex that is under construction on privately held land in the Black Hills, in Custer County, South Dakota. It depicts Crazy Horse, an Oglala Lakota warrior, riding a horse and pointing into the distance. The memorial was commissioned by Henry Standing Bear, a Lakota elder, to be sculpted by Korczak Ziolkowski. It is operated by the Crazy Horse Memorial Foundation, a private non-profit organization.

KRKI (99.5 FM, "99-5 The Range") is a radio station licensed to serve Keystone, South Dakota. The station serves Rapid City, South Dakota, with an on-channel broadcast booster licensed as KRKI-FM1. The station is owned by Michael Radio Group, LLC, although a sale to Bad Lands Broadcasting Company was approved in January 2006 but remains unconsummated as of March 2010. KRKI airs a Classic Country format.

Bedrock City (South Dakota)

Bedrock City is a campground and 30-acre theme park in Custer, South Dakota in the Black Hills which features buildings and characters inspired by The Flintstones television series. The facility was created by a pair of Custer concrete makers.

Sylvan Lake (South Dakota)

Sylvan Lake, known as the "crown jewel" of Custer State Park, is located in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Created in 1881 when Theodore Reder built a dam across Sunday Gulch, it offers picnic areas, rock climbing, small rental boats, swimming, and hiking trails. It is also popular as a starting point for excursions to Harney Peak and The Needles. A hotel was operated on the shore of the lake in the early 20th century.

Four Mile, South Dakota

Four Mile is an unincorporated community in South Dakota, located four miles west of Custer City at the junction of US 16 and the Pleasant Valley Road (County Highway 715). Named because of the distance from Custer City on the original Sidney Black Hills Stage Road, Four Mile today is a small bedroom community for Custer, with single tourist attraction Four Mile Old West Town Museum, a log-cabin manufacturer, a small mobile home court, and several other residences.
