WAXO is a radio station broadcasting a Country music format. Licensed to Lewisburg, Tennessee, USA. The station is currently owned by Marshall County Radio Corporation and features programing from Jones Radio Network. It also operates a low-power television station on Channel 34. Jim Nance McCord

Jim Nance McCord (March 17, 1879 – September 2, 1968) was an American journalist and politician who served as Governor of Tennessee from 1945 to 1949, and was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1943 to 1945. He was also Commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Conservation from 1953 to 1958, and was a delegate to the state constitutional convention of 1953.
