Northgate Mall (Chattanooga)

Northgate Mall, also called Northgate, is an enclosed shopping mall in the Chattanooga, Tennessee suburb of Hixson. Opened on March 15, 1972, it was the second mall built in Chattanooga. Built on land originally intended for a drive-in movie theater by a predecessor to CBL & Associates Properties (CBL), Arlen Shopping Center Group, the mall was considered the northside competition to now-defunct Eastgate Mall and is now considered a sister property of CBL's Hamilton Place Mall.

WRCB, virtual channel 3, is an NBC-affiliated television station based in Chattanooga, serving southeastern Tennessee, northwestern Georgianortheastern Alabama and Southwestern North Carolina. Red Bank is a city in Hamilton County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 12,418 at the 2000 census. Red Bank is an enclave, being entirely surrounded by Chattanooga. As of the 2010 election, the Board of Commissioners has Monty Millard (mayor), John Roberts (vice mayor), Floy Pierce, Ruth Jeno,and Ken Welch are the district commissioners. Meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. at Red Bank City Hall on the first and third Tuesdays of every month.
