Pearland Stadium

Pearland Stadium (nicknamed The Rig) is an American multi-use stadium in Pearland, Texas. The 9,200-capacity stadium is on the campus of Pearland High School and serves as home to the school's football, soccer, and track and field teams. In addition, it is home to the Houston Energy, a team in the Independent Women's Football League, who used to play at Houston's Astrodome stadium. The stadium is nicknamed The Rig after oil rigs as oil is a large part of the Texas economy.

Pearland, is a city located in the Gulf Coast region in the US state of Texas within the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown metropolitan area. Most of the city is in Brazoria County, with portions extending into Fort Bend and Harris counties. As of the 2010 census, the city's population was 91,252, up from a population of 37,640 at the 2000 census. Pearland's population growth rate from 2000 to 2010 was 142 percent, which ranked Pearland as the 15th fastest growing city in the U.S.

Brio Superfund site

The Brio Superfund site is a former industrial location in Harris County, Texas located at the intersection of Beamer and Dixie Farm Road, about 20 miles South East of Houston and adjacent to the Dixie Oil Processors Superfund Site. It is a federal Superfund site, although it was deleted from the National Priorities List in December 2006. A neighboring residential subdivision called South Bend (now abandoned) was located along the north of the northern boundary of Brio North.
