Big Lake, Texas
Big Lake is a small rural city in Reagan County, Texas, United States. As of the 2000 census, the city population was 2,885. It is the county seat of Reagan County. The city takes its name from a dry lake, a unique dryland plains geographic feature situated atop the divide between the Rio Grande and Colorado River watersheds, located less than two miles south of the city, through which St Hwy 137 passes.

Big Lake (Texas)
Big Lake is an intermittent dry lake located one-mile (1.6 km) south and southwest of the city of Big Lake in Reagan County, Texas. Covering approximately 1,300 acres, the playa lies in a floodplain and is fed primarily by Big Lake Draw and a number of other, unnamed smaller draws. Scrub brush, mesquite, juniper, grasses, and water-tolerant hardwoods grow around the lake.
