WTAW (1620 AM, Newstalk 1620) is an AM radio station licensed in the city of College Station, Texas. The station is currently owned by Bryan Broadcasting Company through its licensee Bryan Broadcasting License Corporation, and features programing from Premiere Radio Networks and Fox News. It received its license to operate in October 1922 as one of the United States' first high-powered stations.

Texas World Speedway

Texas World Speedway was built in 1969 and is one of only seven superspeedways of two miles (3 km) or greater in the United States, the others being Indianapolis, Daytona, Pocono, Talladega, Auto Club, and Michigan. TWS is located on approximately 600 acres (2.4 km²) on State Highway 6 in College Station, Texas. There is a 2-mile oval, and several road course configurations.

Gibbons Creek Reservoir

Gibbons Creek Reservoir (sometimes referred to as Gibbons Creek Lake) is a power plant cooling reservoir on Gibbons Creek in the Navasota River basin, 20 miles (32 km) east of College Station, Texas, USA. The dam and lake are managed by Texas Municipal Power Agency, who uses the reservoir as a cooling pond for a power plant that generates electricity for the cities of Bryan, Denton, Garland, and Greenville (all of whom have municipality-owned electric companies).

Post Oak Mall

Post Oak Mall is a regional shopping mall in College Station, Texas owned by CBL & Associates Properties. Construction on the mall began in summer 1979 and it opened February 17, 1982. It initially housed 80 stores with four anchors. A second phase, planned before the mall even opened, was completed in 1985, adding more floor space and bringing the mall up to 125 stores and 6 anchor stores. As of 2009, it also houses a small food court, two restaurants, and a nightclub.
