Branchville, Texas

Branchville, Texas is an unincorporated area of Milam County, Texas, in the United States. Among its natives was Kansas City barbecue icon Arthur Bryant (restaurateur) who operated Arthur Bryant's and who is buried there. It is 13 miles east of Cameron, Texas and is believed to have received its name as being a branch store of the Port Sullivan, Texas store of W. B. Easterwood. The post office opened in 1878 and closed in 1908. About 200 people live in the area.

Katy Hamman-Stricker Library

The Katy Hamman-Stricker Women's Heritage Center is located at 404 E. Mitchell Street in Calvert, Texas, USA. It consists of a museum as well as a public library and community center and was the first chapter house built by the American Woman's League in the state. Calvert is located within the Golden Triangle (the area between the cities of Dallas, Houston and Austin) of Texas. The building was constructed in 1909 but its role changed thirty years later when it became the town library.

KTON (AM)

KTON is a radio station broadcasting a News/Talk format. Licensed to Cameron, Texas, USA, the station is currently owned by Milam Broadcasting Company. The station is programmed similarly to sister station KCAA in Southern California, with programs including Brother Stair, Alex Jones, Free Talk Live, Joyce Riley and Barry W. Lynn. Previously licensed as "KMIL", the station changed its call sign to "KTAE" on August 1, 2007, and again to "KTON" on December 17, 2012.
