Paradise, Texas

Paradise is a city in Wise County, Texas, United States. The population was 485 at the 2010 census. The majority of the population that claims Paradise as its home lives outside of the city limits. Surrounding areas are flat with rolling hills. Native trees that can be seen in the area are Oak, Pecan, Mesquite, and Cottonwood. The Trinity River, one of Texas's major rivers, is found about 4 miles away from the city. During the 19th century, Paradise was the largest city in Wise County.

KVCE

KVCE is a radio station in Highland Park, Texas that services the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. The station is currently owned by Dallas Broadcasting, LLC. The station operates on 1160 kHz with 35,000 watts during the day and 1,000 watts at night and is under ownership of Dallas Broadcasting, controlled by Texas State Senator and Houston-based radio station owner Dan Patrick. Patrick's afternoon talk show airs on KVCE, in addition to being heard on his Houston-area station, KSEV.

Wise County, Texas

Wise County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2010 census, the population was 59,127. Its county seat is Decatur. The county is named for Henry Alexander Wise, a U.S. Congressman from Virginia who supported Texas' annexation. The county is also considered part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The Wise Eyes crime watch program, eventually adopted by mostly rural counties in several states, was started in 1993 by then-Sheriff Phil Ryan.

Decatur is a city located in Wise County, Texas, United States. This city was named after Stephen Decatur, Jr. The population was 6,042 at the 2010 census. A July 1, 2008 U.S. Census Bureau estimate placed the population at 6,432. It is the county seat of Wise County. Decatur is part of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and is located 25 miles northwest of Fort Worth and 45 miles northwest of Dallas.
