Concan, Texas

Concan is a small community in Uvalde County in the southwestern portion the Hill Country of Texas. It sits along the Frio River close to Garner State Park and is a popular destination for summer vacationers. It is also well known for the excellent birdwatching in the spring. Leakey is a city in and the county seat of Real County, Texas, United States. The population was 425 at the 2010 census. The city is named for John H. Leakey (1824-1900), a pioneer former Tennessee.
