The Darrington Unit (DA) is a Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) men's prison located in unincorporated Brazoria County, Texas, near Sandy Point, The unit is along Farm to Market Road 521, 4 miles north of Rosharon, and south of Houston. The prison has about 6,770 acres of land. The prison has the Region III Administrative Office of the Windham School District.

English, Brazoria County, Texas

English is an unincorporated area in northern Brazoria County, Texas, USA. English is north of the Ramsey Unit and 12 miles northwest of Angleton. The Handbook of Texas states that the community may have been named after the family of an area resident named "Buck" English. English began as a station of the Columbia Tap line located 1.5 miles north of what is now Farm to Market Road 1462 on Oyster Creek. In 1917 English had a general store and a cotton gin.
