Sam Rayburn Reservoir
Sam Rayburn Reservoir is a reservoir in the United States located in Southeast Texas, 70 mi north of Beaumont. The reservoir is fed by the Angelina River, the major tributary of the Neches River. The capacity of the reservoir is 3,997,600 acre feet, and is the largest lake wholly located within the state of Texas. The reservoir is operated by the United States Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth district.

Zavala, Texas
Zavala, Texas, was a town in Jasper County, Texas from 1834 until the late 19th century. Named for empresario Lorenzo de Zavala, the town was founded on land owned by Thomas Huling along the Angelina River. The approximately 40 families who lived in the town survived by farming or logging. The town last appears on a list of communities in the county in 1878 and has since been abandoned.
