Wiley College

Wiley College is a four-year, private, historically black, liberal arts college located on the west side of Marshall, in the U.S. state of Texas. Founded in 1873 by the Methodist Episcopal Church's Bishop Isaac Wiley and certified in 1882 by the Freedman's Aid Society, it is notable as one of the oldest predominantly black colleges west of the Mississippi River.

Harrison County is a county of the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2010 census, its population was 65,631. It is named for Jonas Harrison, a lawyer and Texas revolutionary. It is located in the Ark-La-Tex region. The seat of the county is Marshall. Harrison County is part of the Marshall Micropolitan Statistical Area as well as the Longview–Marshall Combined Statistical Area.
