Big Cottonwood Canyon

Big Cottonwood Canyon is a canyon in the Wasatch Range 12 miles southeast of Salt Lake City in the U.S. state of Utah. The 15-mile -long canyon provides hiking, biking, picnicking, rock-climbing, camping and fishing in the summer. Its two ski resorts, Brighton and Solitude, are popular among skiers and snowboarders.

Snowbird is an unincorporated area based in Little Cottonwood Canyon in the Wasatch Range of the Rocky Mountains in Salt Lake County, Utah, U.S. It is most famous for Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort, an alpine skiing and snowboarding area, which opened in December 1971.

Twin Peaks (Utah)

There are actually two sets of well-known Twin Peaks of the Wasatch Front in Utah. "Broad's Fork" Twin Peaks, overlooking the Salt Lake Valley, and "American Fork" Twin Peaks which is located less than five miles to the southeast. "American Fork" Twin Peaks is actually the higher of the two, at 11,489 feet, and is the tallest peak of Salt Lake County. "Broads Fork" Twin Peaks is only 11,330 ft tall and the second highest of Salt Lake County.

Cecret Lake

Cecret Lake (pronounced like Secret) is a small alpine lake in Albion Basin near Alta, Utah. This area is also part of the Wasatch National Forest. Cecret Lake is also a protected watershed for Salt Lake City, Utah. It is not known why the name was spelled with a C instead of an S. Assumptions are that it was named by a miner working in the area. The lake can be accessed in the summer by parking on the main road in Little Cottonwood Canyon and hiking up a dirt trail to the lake.

Utah Olympic Park Track

The Utah Olympic Park Track is a bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton track located in the Utah Olympic Park, near Park City, Utah, United States. During the 2002 Winter Olympics, held nearby in Salt Lake City, the track hosted the bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton events. Today the track still serves as a training center for Olympic and development level athletes, and hosts numerous local and international competitions.
