Lake Rescue (Vermont)

Lake Rescue is located in Windsor county of south central Vermont, in the northeastern United States. It is the tenth deepest (at 95 feet) and 23rd largest lake (at 184 acres) in Vermont. Lake Rescue is located along VT Route 100 about three miles north of Ludlow and Okemo Mountain, and it is surrounded by the town of Ludlow.

Plymouth Notch, Vermont

Plymouth Notch is a small unincorporated village in the town of Plymouth, Windsor County, Vermont, United States. All or most of the village is included in the Calvin Coolidge Homestead District, a National Historic Landmark. John Calvin Coolidge, Sr. , the father of Calvin Coolidge, was Justice of the Peace in this town and here Coolidge was sworn in as president almost immediately upon the death of his predecessor, Warren G. Harding, who died suddenly in 1923.

Union Christian Church

Union Christian Church is a historic Church located in Plymouth Notch, Vermont. The church was constructed in 1840, and dedicated in 1842. President Calvin Coolidge grew up across the street from the church and attended it as a child. The church building is owned and maintained by the Calvin Coolidge Memorial Foundation and hosts numerous events. The church is adjacent to the Coolidge Homestead.

Coolidge Homestead

The Coolidge Homestead, also known as Calvin Coolidge Homestead District or President Calvin Coolidge State Historical Site, was the childhood home of the thirtieth President of the United States, Calvin Coolidge and the place where he took the presidential oath of office. Located in Plymouth Notch, Vermont, Coolidge lived there from age four in 1876 to 1887, when he departed for Black River Academy for education.
