Pinto Dam

Pinto Dam is a dam in Grant County, Washington. The dam was a project of the United States Bureau of Reclamation, completed from 1946 through 1948 as one element of the vast Columbia Basin Project for irrigation water storage, flood control, and hydroelectric power generation. Pinto Dam is an earthen structure, 130 feet high and 1900 feet long at its crest, that provides offstream storage of water.

Sun Lakes Resort

Sun Lakes Resort is a camping area inside Dry Falls in central Washington state near Sun Lakes State Park, featuring RV hookups, a location near several lakes which can be used for swimming and fishing, and a game called Water Wars. The objective of Water Wars is to launch water balloons at another covered area with holes in the roof in order to launch water balloons and receive incoming fire to increase the chance of a hit.

Sun Lakes State Park

Sun Lakes State Park is a 4,027-acre camping park with 73,640 feet of freshwater shoreline at the foot of Dry Falls, which is located near Coulee City, Washington. Formed by the Missoula Floods, Dry Falls is the site of a former waterfall which is now a stark cliff, 400 feet high and 3.5 miles wide. When the floods occurred, the waterfall was ten times the size of Niagara Falls. Today it overlooks a desert oasis filled with lakes and abundant wildlife.

Dry Falls

Dry Falls is a 3.5 mile long scalloped precipice in central Washington, on the opposite side of the Upper Grand Coulee from the Columbia River, and at the head of the Lower Grand Coulee. Ten times the size of Niagara, Dry Falls is thought to be the greatest known waterfall that ever existed. According to the current geological model, catastrophic flooding channeled water at 65 miles per hour through the Upper Grand Coulee and over this 400-foot rock face at the end of the last ice age.
