Deming, Washington

Deming is a census-designated place (CDP) in Whatcom County, Washington, United States. Named for its first postmaster, George Deming, its population was 353 at the 2010 census. The community is home to the tribal government offices of the Nooksack Tribe and is within the Nooksack Indian Reservation. Deming also boasts it's own local radio station that can be heard only for about 15 miles away.

Swift Creek Landslide

The Swift Creek Landslide is an active, slow moving landslide located in western Washington, USA, due east of Everson on Sumas Mountain. Asbestos laden sediment originating from the landslide has recently generated much interest in this area. Asbestos is a known carcinogen. EPA sampling has documented asbestos in sediments in Swift Creek and in downstream Sumas River.

Goshen, Washington

Goshen was a pioneer town in western Whatcom County (approximately 5 miles northeast of Bellingham, and 10 miles south of the US border with Canada). It was a stop on the rail line of the Bellingham Bay and British Columbia Railroad. It no longer exists, yet the Everson-Goshen road is still present.
