Manastash Ridge
Manastash Ridge is a long anticline mountain ridge located in central Washington state in the United States. Manastash Ridge runs mostly west-to-east in Kittitas and Yakima counties, for approximately 50 miles. The ridge is part of the Yakima Fold Belt of east-tending long ridges formed by the folding of Miocene Columbia River basalt flows. The highest point in Manastash Ridge is Manastash Peak at 6,335 feet, located 22.4 miles west of Ellensburg, Washington.

Mel's Hole
Mel's Hole is a supposed geographic anomaly discovered by Mel Waters on his land near Ellensburg, Washington. Waters claimed that he lived in or near Manastash Ridge, Washington, about nine miles due west of Ellensburg, though later investigation revealed that no such person was listed as a resident. According to Waters, the hole has paranormal properties, including a possibly infinite depth and the ability to restore dead animals to life.

Roza Dam
Roza Dam (National ID # WA00275) is a diversion dam on the Yakima River, about 10 miles north of Yakima, just west of SR 821. The dam, built in 1939, is 486 feet long at the crest and 67 feet high, and impounds approximately 100 acres of water. The dam also has 12,000 kW power production capacity, online as of 1956. There is also an adult fish ladder at this location.

There are numerous interpretations of the name, which is from the language of the Kittitas American Indian language. According to one source, it "has been said to mean everything from 'white chalk' to 'shale rock' to 'shoal people' to 'land of plenty'.
