Thurston County, Washington
Thurston County is a county located in the U.S. state of Washington. It is named after Samuel R. Thurston, the Oregon Territory's first delegate to Congress. As of the 2010 census, its population was 252,264. The county seat is at Olympia, the state capital and also the county's largest city. Thurston County was created out of Lewis County by the government of Oregon Territory on January 12, 1852. At that time, it covered all of the Puget Sound region and the Olympic Peninsula.

Monarch Contemporary Art Center and Sculpture Park
Monarch Contemporary Art Center and Sculpture Park is an admission by donation, outdoor art gallery located along the Chehalis Western Trail near Tenino, in Olympia, Washington. Opened in 1998 by sculptor Myrna Orsini as "a gift to the community," the 80-acre park features sculpture gardens as well as indoor art galleries. In 1992, after visiting art symposia in Europe, founder Myrna Orsini and her business partner Doris Coonrod purchased land for the park.

Chehalis Western Trail
The Chehalis Western Trail is a rail trail in Washington. It occupies an abandoned railroad corridor that was once used by the historic Weyerhaeuser-owned Chehalis Western Railroad. It has been converted to a bicycle and walking trail and intersects with the 14.5-mile Yelm-Tenino Trail. Near the intersection with the Yelm-Tenino Trail, the Chehalis Western Trail passes through the Monarch Contemporary Art Center and Sculpture Park.
