Rainier High School (Washington)
Rainier High School, located in Rainier, Washington, was established in 1909. As of the 2009-2010 school year, it provides instruction for approximately 300 students in grades 9-12 with a staff of about 20 full time and part time instructors. The school was named a 2007 Washington State School of Distinction based on its dramatically improved WASL scores. Its mascot is the Mountaineer and the school colors are orange and black. The interim principal for the 2009-2010 school year is Wally Lis.

Yelm–Tenino Trail
The Yelm–Tenino Trail is a rail trail located in Thurston County, Washington, United States. The 14.5-mile long cycling and walking trail has been constructed along the route of a former Burlington Northern Railroad line. The trail runs parallel to State Route 507 and intersects with the Chehalis Western Trail. Trailheads are located at the trail termini in the towns of Yelm and Tenino as well as in the town of Rainier.

Chehalis Western Trail
The Chehalis Western Trail is a rail trail in Washington. It occupies an abandoned railroad corridor that was once used by the historic Weyerhaeuser-owned Chehalis Western Railroad. It has been converted to a bicycle and walking trail and intersects with the 14.5-mile Yelm-Tenino Trail. Near the intersection with the Yelm-Tenino Trail, the Chehalis Western Trail passes through the Monarch Contemporary Art Center and Sculpture Park.

Monarch Contemporary Art Center and Sculpture Park
Monarch Contemporary Art Center and Sculpture Park is an admission by donation, outdoor art gallery located along the Chehalis Western Trail near Tenino, in Olympia, Washington. Opened in 1998 by sculptor Myrna Orsini as "a gift to the community," the 80-acre park features sculpture gardens as well as indoor art galleries. In 1992, after visiting art symposia in Europe, founder Myrna Orsini and her business partner Doris Coonrod purchased land for the park.

Yelm High School is a comprehensive high school in the city of Yelm, Washington, part of the Yelm Community Schools. Yelm is said to have received its mascot the "Yelm Tornado" after a small tornado blew through the small town in the early 20th century. Yelm Community Schools was the first school district in Washington.
