The Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve
The Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve (SBR) located in Mount Hope, West Virginia, between Beckley and Glen Jean, West Virginia is one of four facilities managed by the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). The Summit is the future home of the national Scout jamboree, the Summit High Adventure Base, and the National Center for Scouting Excellence. It is 10,600 acres acres in size.

2013 National Scout Jamboree
The 2013 National Scout Jamboree is the 18th national Scout jamboree held by the Boy Scouts of America from July 15, 2013 to July 24, 2013. It is the first national Scout jamboree to be held at the Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve in West Virginia and the first jamboree to include Venturers as participants. Projected attendance is over 50,000 Boy Scouts, Venturers, volunteers and staff.
