Union Pacific Big Boy

Big Boy was the name of the Union Pacific Railroad's 4000-class 4-8-8-4 articulated steam locomotives, built between 1941 and 1944 by American Locomotive Company (Alco). The 25 Big Boys were the only locomotives to have the 4-8-8-4 wheel arrangement, with two sets of eight driving wheels, a four-wheel leading truck for stability entering curves and a four-wheel trailing truck to support the large firebox.

Cheyenne Frontier Days

Cheyenne Frontier Days is an outdoor rodeo and western celebration held annually since 1897 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, USA. The event, claimed to be one of the largest of its kind in the world, draws nearly 200,000 people every year. Lodging fills up quickly during the peak tourist season throughout southern and eastern Wyoming and even into Colorado and Nebraska. It occurs during 10 days centered around the last full week of July.
