Barra do Quaraí

Barra do Quarai (also Quarahim) is a small Brazilian town located near the border with Uruguay and Argentina on the Uruguay River. The town became the westernmost city in the state of Rio Grande do Sul and in all Southern Brazil when it was separated from the municipality of Uruguaiana on December 28, 1995. It has a population of only 3,878 (2008). Its elevation is 35 m. It has an area of 1,056.146km².

Miriñay River

The Miriñay River (Spanish Miriñay Río) is a small river in the province of Corrientes, Argentina. It is born on the eponymous wetlands (Esteros del Miriñay) southeast of the Iberá Wetlands, and flows south for about 200 km until emptying into the Uruguay River near Monte Caseros. Its course runs along a wide alluvial plain.
