Aeronautics Museum of Maracay

Aragua

Aragua State is located in the north-central region of Venezuela. It has plains and jungles and Caribbean beaches. The most popular are Cata and Choroni. It has Venezuela's first national park which is called Henri Pittier. The capital is Maracay, other important cities include Turmero and El Limón. Aragua State covers a total surface area of 7,014 km² and, based on the 2001 census information, the estimated population of Aragua State in 2007 is 1,665,200 inhabitants.

Girardot Municipality, Aragua

The Girardot Municipality is one of the 18 municipalities that makes up the Venezuelan state of Aragua. According to a 2007 population estimate by the National Institute of Statistics of Venezuela, the municipality has a population of 439,947. The city of Maracay is the shire town of the Girardot Municipality.

Estadio José Pérez Colmenares

Estadio José Pérez Colmenares is a multi-purpose stadium in Maracay, Venezuela. It is currently used mostly for baseball games and serves as the home of Tigres de Aragua, a team from the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League. Located at Campo Elías Street in Maracay, the stadium holds 15,328 people and opened in 1965. The Aragua Tigres are one of the most dominant forces in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League, winning 3 out of the last 4 championships.
