Isla de Coche (Coche Island) is one of three islands forming the Nueva Esparta State of Venezuela, located in the Caribbean between Isla Margarita and the mainland. Andres Miguel Salazar Marcano Airport (Spanish: Aeropuerto Andrés Miguel Salazar Marcano) is an airport serving Isla de Coche, an island in the Venezuelan state of Nueva Esparta. The airport has been under the regional administration of the state of Nueva Esparta since 1992. For years it remained abandoned until 2006, when a major renovation began which included the extension of the runway.

Marigüitar

Marigüitar is a small coastal town in the state of Sucre, Venezuela. It lies on the southern coast of the Gulf of Cariaco, across from the Araya Peninsula. The nearest city is Cumaná, about 20 kilometers to the east. The narrow, winding road that connects Cumaná and Carúpano passes through the town. Marigüitar has a large fish-processing plant owned by Mavesa, which is a subsidiary of Empresas Polar, the largest food and drink company in Venezuela.

Nueva Cádiz

Nueva Cádiz is an archaeological site and former port town on Cubagua, off the coast of Venezuela. Established around 1515, it was one of the first settlements in the Americas. As early as 1502, rancherías were established on Cubagua, occupied for 3–4 months each year during trading. The island was of particular interest because of its rich pearl oyster beds. Eventually, the settlement became permanent and, by 1520, after the great Indian uprising, its resident population surpassed 300.
