Battle of Xuan Loc

The Battle of Xuan Loc (Vietnamese: Trận Xuân Lộc) was the last major battle of the Vietnam War in which the South Vietnamese 18th Division under General Le Minh Dao, fought a heroic "last stand" against the North Vietnamese Army. The battle was fought between April 9–21, 1975, and ended when the town of Xuan Loc was captured by the North Vietnamese 4th Army Corps.

Xuan Loc District

Xuân Lộc is a district of Đồng Nai Province, Vietnam, in the southeastern part of the country. Located on the National Highway 1 leading out of Ho Chi Minh City, it is most notable for the battle of Xuân Lộc, which took place in April 1975. This was the final large battle of the Vietnam War, where the Army of the Republic of Vietnam has poured all of it's reserve units in order to halt the advance of the Vietnam's People Army 4th Corp . It also has Vietnam’s largest mosque, built in 2006.
